Sinter Surfaces is located in Cape Town, South Africa and is a brand of Stone Alliance. What is Sintered Stone?
Sintering is the process by which heat and compression convert powdered minerals into a hard mass.
We see this process in nature in the creation of granite; sintered stone mimics this process. But it comprises different materials which results in a stronger, non-porous slab engineered to hold up under the pressure of daily life.
Slab size: 3.2 x 1.6m in 6mm and 12mm thickness, and suitable for both interior and exterior installation. Finishes available include glossy, matt and textured.

Step 1
Sintering begins with a precise mixture of powdered minerals compressed into thin sheets.
Step 2
The compressed sheets are then heated to near melting. The minerals bond at the molecular level.
Step 3
The sheets of stone are now finished with any of an endless combination of patterns, polishes and textures.
What Makes Sinter Surfaces Stone Different?
Sinter Surfaces took time to perfect their recipe to make the product the easiest to cut, and lightly flexible, which prevents cracking. The slabs are engineered to be lighter than others’ available in the market.
Marble colours are high definition, with a 3-D look, to look just like real marble, and very realistic to the touch. All marble colours are available in “glossy” finish, which is perfect for matching with marble flooring.
Additionally, Sinter Surfaces are dedicated to the product’s longevity, and utilise specialized technical materials to ensure correct installation every time, as well as a full-time technician available to answer any customer questions.
